A Touch of Sparkle: Caron Bailey’s Beautiful Swap Creation

This beautifully handcrafted thank‑you card was created by Caron Bailey as part of a card swap. While the exact stamp set, DSP, embossing folder, and dies used in the design are not known, the artistry speaks for itself.

The card showcases layered patterned papers cut on a repeating angle, creating the illusion of a crossed ribbon running down the left side. Two different patterned papers are used, with each strip alternated front and back to form a pleated ribbon effect made entirely from DSP. This angled layering adds movement, texture, and a tactile contrast between smooth and lightly raised surfaces.

On the right side, a textured embossed panel features a raised circular pattern that adds depth and elegance. A bold floral focal point sits near the centre, slightly raised so its edges can be felt. Heat‑embossed details add a smooth, glossy shine, while a folded paper‑ribbon technique introduces crisp, dimensional lines. Small rhinestone embellishments provide gentle bumps of sparkle and texture.

Inside, I’ve added a heartfelt message to complete the design:  

“You made my day sparkle — thank you for the magic!”
